Under its splendid light, the Bay of Somme displays infinitely desert beaches, wild sand dunes and rich vegetation. Born on this territory, the Henson horse promises you unforgettable rides. (The discovery trip is also available, on request, in a horse-drawn carriage).
Discovery day
After full gallops on the beach, there is nothing better than a good meal in a warm atmosphere or a tasty picnic. The food specialties from the region of Picardy or the seafood you will share in a friendly mood will get rid of the tiredness and the possible hazards of the climate.
Two-day trip
To get the most of the sensation of this borderless space, go on a trip of more than 100 kilometers. To the pace of the Henson horse, you will spend two days discovering the rich palette of colours of the seafront lights and the diversity of the fauna, flora and landscape.
Bivouac
In total communion with nature, the rare pleasure of a dinner by the fire camp and a night sleeping out in the open. Rocked by the sound of the wind in the pine trees or the distant backwash of the sea, your dreams will only be disturbed by the calls of the birds.

Discovery of the Henson Horse breeding Bred naturally in the open, the Henson horse acquires from birth an remarkable stability. According to the seasons, you will be able to observe the foals in the wild, the stallions or the mares and follow the steps of the breeders of the Henson-Marcanterra Sea Ranch.
Foal handling Workshop
When they reach three years old, the Henson foals are declared able to start being ridden on or harnessed. Come and attend their breaking in with the handler and learn the basis of a training made of care, patience and perseverance.

Discover 'the Hidden Side of the Dunes' wandering on the trails of Marcanterra Sea Ranch. Successively, the history of the estate, the fauna and the flora will be talked through, while getting a closer look at some chosen panoramas of the Bay of Somme and its reserve naturelle.
Nightfall Walk, from April until August, duration: 2 hours and a half, 19 euros/ per person, booking in advance.
Departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays between 7 and 8 pm according to the season.
At nightfall, the big mammals leave their den to feed. In absolute silence, you will try to get close to them, hidden in the sand dunes or the grove.

From the pine-wood to the mussel beds, from March until December, duration: 3 hours and a half, 19 euros, booking in advance. Departure according to the tides.
Wander on the trails of Marcanterra Sea Ranch, birthplace of the Henson horse, and get to the shore with a nature guide. Fall for the immensity and the quality of this wild seafront. At ebb tide, the sea will unveil the secret of the mussel beds, called “ bouchots” in French.
Horse-drawn carriage. Discovery drive, all year round, duration: 2 hours, 35 euros/ per person.

Bike. The Great View over the Bay, from March until December, duration: 2 hours and a half, 19 euros/per person, booking in advance.

Cycling on a concrete road built during the Second World War, discover the peculiarities of this unique territory of forested sand dunes. A nature guide will reveal its secrets and will take you to one of the most beautiful spots of the Bay.

Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). From March, 1st until September, 30th, duration: one day.
With your all terrain vehicle, you will drive on the trails of Marcanterra Sea Ranch and will take advantage of stopovers at outstanding spots. A nature guide of Marcanterra Sea Ranch will give you advice on how to use your vehicle and will give you the opportunity to discover the natural wonders of the estate.
75 euros/per vehicle on week days, 110 euros/ per vehicle on Saturdays, 110 euros/ per vehicle on Sundays.

A pony-club, within a stone's throw of Marcanterra Sea Ranch, to allow the children to enjoy horse-back riding like their parents. A family-friendly ambiance combined with playful methods. Pony rentals. Collective approach and discovery of the pony. Beginners and advanced lessons ( for groups and individuals ) through reservations only.

Built on an acre of land on the edge of Marcanterra Sea Ranch, a house of artists of 2500 square feet made out of wood and glass opens on to gardens and artists ateliers. (An artistic, ecological and environment-minded project where artists are invited to work with nature). On appointment only.
Photography workshop
Marcanterra Sea Ranch and its surroundings offers a unique and privileged setting adjacent to the Bay de Somme: areas laid out especially for animal photography at viewpoints open on the Bay de Somme, the natural reserve, the sand dunes and the woodlands, will allow you to experience every technique (animal photography, macro-photography, landscape, portrait, etc.) Available on booking: lunch or dinner possible to talk out together about photography. + material: loan of high-standard professional equipment, from 24x36 to 20x25 (Leica, Hasselblad, Mamiya, Misura, etc.) Minimum 3 hours and sessions on several days.
Workshops
Come and meet an artist in his or her atelier and share the experience of creativity... Sculptor, photographer, ceramist, sound artist Artists on residency will organize workshops of half-a-day to three-day long, open to the public.

Tables d'Hôtes & Artists gardens
Around a guest table, an artist will cook you some local dish made of seasonal and garden products, inspired from the culinary discoveries while traveling. An original way to (re)discover cooking, nature and artists who work around this. Available on booking, groups of 3 to 9 people. Free and guided tour.
